An unusual blue steampunk mug and plate set. This large mug is square at the base and circular at the top. Ideal father’s day gift for geeky dads!
Approximate size:
Mug: 10 cm diameter at top, square base 8 x 8 cm – Height 10 cm
Capacity to the rim 440ml
Plate: 13.5 x 15 cm / 5.5” x 6”
Microwave and dishwasher safe, but prefers limited use for extra durability.
Process: I used parts from my old Apple laptop to imprint the pattern on slabs of clay. I stained it with cobalt oxide and applied glazes before firing it at 1200°C. Et voilà! Some areas are left purposefully unglazed.
