Canongate Tolbooth – Folded Card

Folded card with my drawing of the Canongate Tolbooth on The Royal Mile, Edinburgh, also including a short history detail on the back.

The building dates back to the 16th century where it was used to collect tolls for those travelling in the area.

Part of the building was previously used as a Court House and Prison. The front section became a pub in 1820, the Tolbooth Tavern which is open to this day.
