Bee on Rainbow Flower Stained Glass Suncatcher Handmade

by JOYSOFGLASS

£25.00

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.

A bright yellow and black bumble bee on a seven petal rainbow coloured flower.

I’ve used all the bright and rich colours of the rainbow spectrum with texture and streaks for movement to make a flower and added a pretty little bee to cover the centre of the flower. The bees wings are clear iridescent to give extra shimmer.

The flower is infilled with prettily textured clear glass to form a ring.

This is 14cm in diameter and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the suncatcher. The ring is framed with twisted wire for strength and neatness.

It can hang in a window or just against a wall and it is would make a wonderfully colourful addition to any room.

I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure it is unique.

Description

A bee and a rainbow flower.

Like all my suncatchers, handmade with love.

It looks wonderful hanging in the window, a unique decoration.

This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.

Each piece of glass is individually cut, shaped and copper foiled and then soldered together. It is constructed using lots of twisted wire carefully postioned for strength and soldered at the joints.  I then solder on little wire rings for hanging.

I always supply a strong suction hook so it comes ready for you to hang.

Please note that no two of my suncatchers  are ever the same even to the same design.  I deliberately don’t keep a record of the types of glass used so it is pretty impossible for me to make an exact match and that is my intention. I like all my pieces to be unique and I always use different combinations of glass.
