Bicycle Stained Glass Suncatcher Red Bike Cyclist

by JOYSOFGLASS

£22.50

A Red Bicycle, a suncatcher to hang in the window and catch the light.
Handmade stained glass using the Tiffany copper foil technique.

The wheels are cut from 8 different types, textures of clear glass and soldered together round a little red and blue millefiori bead. They are joined together with a shiny red nugget and the seat is red stained glass.  The rest of the bike is an intricate structure of twisted wire incorporating little red handle bar beads and millefiori bead pedals.

A perfect gift for a cyclist.

It hangs from ‘invisible’ fishing line and measures 16cm x 11,5cm. It does look rather amazing hanging in the window.

Made with and by Joy to be given with love.

Description

A stained glass and wire red bicycle.

Like all my suncatchers, handmade with love.

It looks wonderful hanging in the window, a unique decoration.

This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.

Each piece of glass is individually cut, shaped and copper foiled and then soldered together. It is constructed using lots of twisted wire carefully postioned for strength and soldered at the joints.  I then solder on little wire rings for hanging.

I always supply a strong suction hook so it comes ready for you to hang.

Note that though this would make a lovely present for a child’s room, it is made of glass and is not a toy.

Please note that no two of my suncatchers  are ever the same even to the same design.  I deliberately don’t keep a record of the types of glass used so it is pretty impossible for me to make an exact match and that is my intention. I like all my pieces to be unique and I always use different combinations of glass.

Posted out Royal Mail first class with lots of padding to keep it safe on its journey to you.
