Description

I have painted the background using a blend of blue tones in watercolour to show the sky meeting the sea. Then using satin embroidery stitch I hand embroidered the sailing boat and its reflection in the water. I love how calming this piece is and it’s sure to create an area of calm in your home. I have framed it in a wood effect flexi hoop, which has a lovely brass decorative hoop at the top so it is ready to hang straight on your wall.

I always neaten the back of my hoop with a piece of felt in a coordinating colour, which is sewn in place with blanket stitch.
