Description

This beautiful hand embroidered seascape brooch has been hand embroidered by me in South Wales.

I begin the process by hand embroidering the design on a larger piece of calico fabric in a larger hoop, where I can work on a few at a time. I then cut around the separate designs and fit them neatly in the smaller mini hoop frames.

Some of the stitches I used include satin stitch for the sky and the sea. Then I used some French knots and woven wheel stitch of the stones and shells along the shoreline.
