Here’s a practical and ecofriendly idea for storing your jewellery when you’re out and about. This white jewellery roll is made from upcycled fabric that’s been trimmed in red and features red appliqued hearts. and has spaces for rings, earrings, necklaces and pendants.
This would make a great gift if you didn’t want it for yourself!
Description
This jewellery roll is made from creamy white textured fabric and has red appliqued hearts on the front, making it a delightful gift, perhaps for Valentines Day or a Wedding Anniversary.
The outer fabric which has a slight sheen, is upcycled (formally a curtain) and the inner fabric is a remnant of red and white spotted cotton print. The roll is padded with fusible fleece to protect your jewellery. It closes with a red heart-shaped button, and more heart-shaped buttons and appliqued hearts decorate the front of the pouch.
Inside there are two zipped pockets, one that is 6cm deep, the other has a total depth of 10.5 cm with a zip down the centre. There are also two strips which have press studs at one end that you can use for rings, earrings and brooches. Eyelet holes in one of these strips enable you to store studs and brooches securely without needing to make holes in the fabric.
Dimensions when open: 28cm x 21 cm (11 inches x 8.5 inches)
when closed: 10cm x 21 cm (4 inches x 8.5cm)
This would be perfect for travelling as it can slip into a case or bag and could make a lovely gift, perhaps containing some jewellery!
