Description
I print the photo I took of Margate and back it onto mounting board. Then I hand cut my A4 card into small pieces to place onto the photo with PVA glue using tweezers. This process is very methodical and takes around 8 hours to complete. Each picture is completely unique, as the card colour is placed at artist discretion to try and resemble the original image closely. The picture is then put into a Nicola Spring box frame that comes with a glass front. These can be stood or I have added additional D rings for hanging.
Colours of the piece may vary due to your monitors settings or the availability of card stock at the time of construction and artistic choices. The piece can develop wrinkles due to the glue; every care is taken to minimise these at creation but the temperature and humidity at which it is displayed can affect the product over time.
