Description

Over the past few years I have made many rainbow patchwork messenger style bags to order, but this one is offered ready-made and available to you right now!  The patchwork of rainbow-coloured batik fabrics makes up the bag’s flap, while the body of the bag is made from a remnant of grey corduroy.  These outer fabrics have all  been backed with fusible fleece to provide structure to the bag.

The bag is fully lined in upcycled purple polycotton, formally a shirt, and, in order to minimise waste, I have used some parts of the shirt to make extra pockets inside.  Apart from a 15cm wide zipped pocket for safe-keeping of special items and a 9cm wide slip-in pocket for a phone, there is also a narrow 5cm wide pocket (perhaps for pens or a comb) and a shallow 14cm wide pocket (perhaps for your lippie or eye-liner).  And there’s also a trigger hook for your keys so that they don’t get lost at the bottom of the bag!  A truly practical as well as ecofriendly item, I’m sure you will agree.

The strap for the bag is made from polypropylene webbing in rainbow colours and is adjustable so that you can wear the bag across your body or on your shoulder.  The maximum length of the strap is 13ocm (51 inches)
