River Valley Picture Stained Glass Landscape Wye

A  River Landcape, A suncatcher picture.

Stained Glass hand-crafted using the Tiffany Copper-foil technique.

It is a ‘picture’ of a River.

A sparkling river winding its way through the hills, on a sunny blue sky day, with a patchwork of fields in the foreground, all very English, a little bridge in the foreground and the sun shining down casting light across the hills.

Probably the River Wye between the Forest of Dean and Ross-on-Wye as I drove that way daily for 3 years but I drew the pattern entirely from my imagination.
I’ve used lots of different shades and textures to give the panel movement. The colours change with the light throughout the day.

This stained glass picture is 5.5 x 7.5 inches.  Designed to hang as a suncatcher in the window , it is framed’ it for strength with twisted wire.

It hangs from a strong silvery chain which is attached to either side of the top by soldered rings. I would recommend that this, to be safe needs to be hung from a proper hook rather than suction hooks as it is quite heavy.

I am very pleased indeed with this piece which looks quite stunning hanging in the window. It also looks rather good hanging against a wall as a picture.

Made by Joy and entirely handmade with love.

Description

A Tropical Beach stained glass picture.

Handmade with love and designed to hang in the window and catch the light. It also looks rather superb hanging on the wall as a little picture.

Each piece of glass is individually cut, shaped  on my grinder then carefully wrapped in copper foil and burnished before all the pieces are soldered together.

This will make a super, unique present for anyone but especially someone with Staffordshire associations..

The suncatcher hangs from a little chain which is securely attached to the top. I always supply a suction hook so the suncatcher comes ready for you to hang.

I attach the chain using split rings so you can if you prefer replace it, maybe with a ribbon, quite easily.

Please note that no two of my suncatchers are ever the same even to the  same design.

I deliberately don’t keep a record of the types of glass used so it is pretty impossible for me to make an exact match and that is my intention. I like all my pieces to be unique and I always use different combinations of glass.

Posted out Royal Mail first class signed for with lots of padding to keep it safe on its journey to you
