An steampunk inspired vase made from a slab of clay imprinted with  a circuit board and other computer components and screws, with 3D clay cogs.

Approx size: 7.5 x 7cm / 3″ x 3″ Height: 15 cm / 6″

Process:
I used parts from my old Apple MacBook to imprint the pattern on slabs of clay. After bisque firing at 1040°C I stained it with cobalt oxide and applied transparent  and antic gold glazes before putting it back in the kiln, this time at 1200°C. Some areas are left purposefully unglazed.
