A versatile square stoneware trinket dish, ideal father’s day gift for geeky dads! Food safe, so can be used as a serving dish for nuts, raisins sweets/candy, dessert, breakfast or use for loose change.
Approx size: 14.5cm x 14.5cm
Microwave and dishwasher safe, but prefers limited use for extra durability.
Process:
Note I never make two with the same pattern.
I used parts from my old Apple MacBook to imprint the pattern on a slab of clay. After bisque firing at 1040°C I stained it with cobalt oxide and applied transparent and antic gold glazes before putting it back in the kiln, this time at 1200°C. Et voilà!
