Tropical Beach Picture Stained Glass Landscape

A Tropical Beach Landcape, A suncatcher picture.

Stained Glass hand-crafted using the Tiffany Copper-foil technique.

It is a ‘picture’ of a beach, pale golden sand, somewhere undoubtedly tropical.  The clear turquoise waters of the sea break in an iridescent foam onto the beach. Beyond the beach are hills, green and probably tree covered. The sky of course is a glorious blue with white scudding clouds..

I hope you can see all of these in my picture. I can’t paint with a brush but I like to think I can paint you pictures with coloured glass.

I’ve used lots of different shades and textures to give the panel movement. The colours change with the light throughout the day.

This stained glass picture is 14.5 x 19.5 cm.

It is designed to hang as a suncatcher in the window and I have ‘framed’ it for strength with twisted wire.

It hangs from a strong silvery chain which is attached to either side of the top by soldered rings. I would recommend that this, to be safe needs to be hung from a proper hook rather than suction hooks as it is quite heavy.

Made by Joy and entirely handmade with love.

Description

A Tropical Beach stained glass picture.

Handmade with love and designed to hang in the window and catch the light. It also looks rather superb hanging on the wall as a little picture.

Each piece of glass is individually cut, shaped  on my grinder then carefully wrapped in copper foil and burnished before all the pieces are soldered together.

This will make a super, unique present for anyone but especially someone with Staffordshire associations..

The suncatcher hangs from a little chain which is securely attached to the top. I always supply a suction hook so the suncatcher comes ready for you to hang.

I attach the chain using split rings so you can if you prefer replace it, maybe with a ribbon, quite easily.

Please note that no two of my suncatchers are ever the same even to the  same design.

I deliberately don’t keep a record of the types of glass used so it is pretty impossible for me to make an exact match and that is my intention. I like all my pieces to be unique and I always use different combinations of glass.

Posted out Royal Mail first class signed for with lots of padding to keep it safe on its journey to you
