Vendor Biography

I’m Lucinda and I’m an embroidery artist from Cardiff.

I first learned embroidery in school and did well at textiles and art for A level. Following this I studied art at foundation level and then completed a degree in art and aesthetics, where I mainly worked in paint medium. I returned to embroidery after having my three boys and have been selling my work online and at craft fairs/exhibitions for about 5 years now.

My nature inspired embroidery takes the form of large framed pieces or round pieces framed in the embroidery hoop. I also make wearable art pieces such as pendant brooches and keyrings in mini embroidery hoop frames.

The rock formations along the Pembrokeshire coastline inspire me the most. I love the beach and all things coastal. As a child I spent many summers there and these lovely memories have stayed with me all these years later.

My work is also displayed in a gallery in Llanelli and I take part in an exhibition twice a year in Dale Pembrokeshire.
