I first started out with semi precious gemstones and copper wire..wire wrapping was so interesting because you never really knew what the end result would actually be like…the more I became experienced the more wanted to do more intricate pieces so I bought tutorials and created pendants, bracelets and earrings…
I did this for about 10yrs then due to arthritis I had to give up, I did do other things as I was medically retired I wanted to keep busy…paper crafts was my next project which lasted a good few years, then recently I felt the draw back to creating jewellery but wasn’t sure where to start, while doing research I came across a eco friendly clay that caught my interest so I started making stud earrings to test its strength… it wasn’t any good for long earrings as it was very fragile.. I later came across a more substantial material called jesmonite which is what most of my designs are made of…I also use UV resin and apoxy resin in my designs..the metals I use are mainly stainless steel that is perfectly safe for sensitive skin.
