Description
This easy and quick knitting pattern is for an adorable sheep baby jacket and hat. Ideal for giving as a present for a baby shower and covers from newborn to toddlers up to the age of 18 months.
The stitches used are garter and stocking stitch which make it an easy knit and ideal for those wanting to try their hand at intarsia (picture) knitting. Super soft and fluffy sheep feature on the front and hat of this baby cardigan and hat set.
The pattern uses 3 to 4 (dependant on size knitted) 50 gram balls for the main colour in double knitting yarn DK/8 ply (11 wpi).
A small amount of black double knitting yarn is required plus 1 ball of King Cole Cuddles Chunky or similar fluffy yarn for the sheep
Yarn: Double Knitting Yarn (8 ply)
Knitting Needles: 1 pair 4 mm (UK8 – USA6) and 1 pair of 3 ¼ mm (UK10 – USA3)
Buttons – 3 small buttons
Tension: 22 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch
